Corbitt Residence Updates
Outdoor Living Space Taking Shape
The Trex® decking has been fully installed and is now covered for protection while we move into the next phase. This keeps the surface clean and damage-free as crews continue working around it.
Up next: installation of the handrails and the exterior heavy beams—key elements that will define the outdoor living space and bring this design to life.
Details Taking Shape
Work is moving forward on multiple fronts. We’re continuing with exterior stone installation while tile work progresses inside the home, adding character and detail throughout. Up next will be the installation of the garage doors as we keep the momentum going.
Interior & Exterior Finishes Making Big Strides
A lot of great progress this week! Interior trim is coming together, tile installation is well underway, and our exterior stone is taking shape beautifully. Loving how everything is coming together!
Bringing the Details to Life: Siding & Interior Trim Underway
Siding installation continues to move along as our exterior starts taking shape with clean lines and detailed craftsmanship. Inside, the trim crew is making great progress—adding casings, baseboards, and finishing details that really bring the interior architecture to life.
Both teams are pushing forward seamlessly, and the home is transforming more every day.
Exterior Details Rising, Interior Installations Next
Exterior beams, trim, and siding are well underway, giving the home its architectural character and bringing the exterior design to life. Meanwhile, all interior trim, beams, and doors have officially been delivered—which means we’re ready to kick off interior installations next.
It’s an exciting phase where both the outside and inside start taking shape at the same time. Lots of progress happening—stay tuned!
Defining the Exterior
Exterior beams and trim work are underway, adding depth, character, and architectural detail to the façade. This is where the craftsmanship really starts to shine — where structure meets design and the home begins to show its personality from the outside in.
Drywall Complete: Finishing and Curing in Progress
Drywall installation is complete, and the finishing process is underway! After hanging the drywall sheets, we apply multiple layers of joint compound to cover seams, screw holes, and corners — creating a perfectly smooth surface for paint and finishes. Each coat needs time to dry and cure properly to prevent cracking or uneven texture, so patience is key during this stage.
Once fully cured, the walls will be sanded and prepped for primer — bringing us one step closer to a finished interior!
Drywall Installation Underway!
Drywall is moving right along! Each room is really starting to take shape as the walls go up — an exciting step toward seeing the finished spaces come to life
Ready for Drywall and Exterior Finishes
Interior and exterior progress moving right along! Insulation is complete, and drywall has arrived on site — hangers will begin tomorrow. Outside, soffits are getting wrapped with siding, adding the next layer of detail to the exterior.
All Sisson materials are finally in, and utilities have been marked on the floor ahead of drywall installation — setting us up for a smooth next phase.
Cleared for the Next Phase
Plumbing rough-in inspection ✅ — we’re cleared and ready to move into the next phase!
In the meantime, we’ve captured detailed pre-drywall photos throughout the home. These images document everything behind the walls — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and framing — ensuring we have a precise record before finishes go in. It’s all part of maintaining quality and transparency at every stage.
